6-MW floating solar array starts water construction in Ohio 08/07/2025

ARP Solar has commenced construction on a groundbreaking 6-megawatt floating solar array in Monroeville, Ohio. This installation is poised to become the largest of its kind in the state and one of the biggest nationwide. Building upon the success of Ohio's inaugural floating solar project with Del-Co Water, we are excited to continue the push for innovative renewable energy solutions across the region.

In collaboration with DD3Energyand Gardner Capital, this project will utilize Monroeville's existing reservoir to host the solar array, thereby conserving over 30 acres of land that would otherwise be required for a traditional ground-mounted system. The floating design not only preserves land but also offers environmental benefits such as reduced water evaporation and improved water quality. Under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement, the Village of Monroeville will procure the clean energy generated by the array, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable development.

If you're looking to lower your electricity bills and gain energy independence as prices rise, now is a great time to start the conversation with ARP Solar. There’s still time to claim the 30% federal tax credit!
