Kokosing Solar is proud to support the City of Grandview Heights, Ohio on their new City Hall, Police, & Fire Municipal Complex featuring solar carport canopies designed to offset building energy use.

This wasn’t your typical solar install. The project required large drill rigs, excavators, and specialized foundation work, so we tapped into Kokosing Industrial’s heavy civil expertise to get the job done efficiently and safely.

That ability to self-perform with advanced equipment and experienced operators is what sets Kokosing Solar apart on complex builds like this.

🚧 Project update: Kokosing Solar is currently constructing a 25‑acre solar array for Denison University. This project will nearly triple the campus’s on‑site solar production and supply up to 40% of its electricity needs.

Designed to help manage long‑term energy costs and reduce dependence on volatile grid pricing, the fixed‑panel array is a major infrastructure investment for the university.

There’s something special about seeing a community come together around a shared goal! Kokosing Solar was proud to help bring a new solar installation at the Bryn Du Mansion to life, working alongside an incredible group of partners including the Village of Granville, the Granville Community Foundation, and Go Green Granville. Annually, the 14kW array will save ~$2,600 in electricity costs.

As one community leader said during the event, “This project makes the next one easier.”

We’re grateful to be part of a project that not only delivers clean energy, but also sets an example for what’s possible when a community rallies around sustainability.

We’re proud to share the completion of a recent solar installation for Cincinnati Public Radio! The ballasted, roof mounted solar installation played a key role in helping the building achieve LEED certification, supporting a broader commitment to sustainability, environmental responsibility, and leadership.

Big thanks to everyone involved in bringing this vision to life. We’re excited to keep helping organizations turn ambitious goals into real-world results.

Will solar panels work in Ohio’s weather and climate?

Yes. Modern solar panels perform well in Ohio’s cloudy, snowy, and variable weather conditions. Systems are engineered for year-round energy production and withstand typical Midwestern weather conditions, including snow loads and high winds.

How does commercial solar reduce operating expenses for business owners?

By generating your own solar power, your business reduces exposure to rising electricity prices and can stabilize long-term energy expenses. Lower energy costs improve cash flow and help business owners redirect savings back into operations, equipment, or strategic growth.
