Milestone Construction recently visited Thomson Concrete’s Thomson, GA plant for a firsthand look at the raw materials, batching process, and quality controls involved in ready-mix concrete production. Our team reviewed how mix designs are adjusted through additives to meet specific performance requirements and discussed key considerations for varying weather conditions during placement.

These insights help us better coordinate pours, anticipate field conditions, and ensure each mix is delivered to achieve the highest quality finished product for our clients.

We’re proud to deliver the ground-up construction of Café Racer’s newest location—a 2,660 SF, single-story restaurant built for long-term performance and daily use. Expanding from its original Atlanta Highway location, this project was executed with a focus on constructability, durability, and efficient operations.

The scope included a full commercial kitchen, bar, and covered outdoor patio, along with site work consisting of new asphalt paving, landscaping, fencing, and a dedicated greenspace seating area. From structure to site, every component was built with quality and longevity in mind.

Located at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens, GA, this project included the new construction of a 2,141 SF MRI suite expansion into a former covered parking area. The scope required selective demolition of existing surfaces, sprinkler systems, and exterior wall components to tie into the active hospital space.

Milestone completed new foundations, slab, and exterior wall construction, along with extensive MEP coordination to support Owner-furnished Canon MRI equipment. The finished suite includes the MRI room with RF shielding, control and equipment rooms, restroom, and support spaces for hospital staff.
