In the words of one of our deputies:
“Yes the roads are getting slick ,
No you shouldn’t just go see for yourself !”
Snow is laying on all roads. Even those treated have some slick spots. Even though a section may look clear, we guarantee that somewhere up ahead is a patch of ice.
If you must be out, drive SLOW. Give yourself plenty of time and room to stop. Most of the time, just driving slow is the key.
Deputies and troopers may not be able to respond to a simple crash out on the county if no one is injured. If you are involved in a simple crash with just some vehicle damage, take pictures and exchange information. You can come to the Justice Center later and have a report done.
It’s always smart to keep a blanket in your vehicle in case you get stuck or temporarily stranded.
Use caution today, and Enjoy the beauty of a snowy day.
