UGA Bassoon Studio

With graduation just around the corner, we wanted to recognize our graduating members of the studio! Our first batch includes graduating seniors Jordan Johnson and Hsin Cheng! We are so proud of everything they have accomplished here at UGA and can’t wait to see them do great things down the road!

Congratulations to our University Philharmonia and Symphonic Band bassoonists, Lily and Martin, on a spectacular concert tonight! We are so proud of all of our bassoonists on a successful semester and are looking forward to this summer! ☀️🌊🏝️

Congratulations to the Wind Symphony Bassoons on a great performance tonight! They played lots of new music, with two world premieres and a Georgia premiere! The concert featured various works made by local artists, with one being created live on stage!

Make sure to come see the orchestra play Carmina Burana on Thursday at 7:30pm!

Congrats to our Wind Ensemble bassoonists for an amazing concert yesterday and congrats to Hsin on her last UGA band concert! So proud of our bassoons! 🤩🤩🤩

Give a huuuuuuuge congrats to DOCTOR Holdbrooks on a great lecture recital!! 🤩🤩🤩 Posing arrangement as an analytical and informative research method, he expanded the Romantic repertoire for bassoon by arranging Ethel Smyth’s violin sonata for the bassoon. Soon, he will graduate and the studio will miss him!
