This Good Friday, we are hosting a worship service with our friends—the Gospel for Athens—for all who are able. Join us for an evening of remembering & rejoicing in the glories of Calvary!

It seems that the snow may have finally gotten the best of us when it comes to our Sunday gathering. The roads outside Athens were especially slippery today. Unfortunately, it seems best to us to cancel tomorrow's Sunday gathering.

We believe this is a wise decision for us. While the roads inside Athens appeared to be somewhat drivable this afternoon, this will likely not be the case tomorrow morning.

Being unable to meet reminds us how grateful we are each time we are able to meet. We will miss seeing each of you tomorrow, and will be praying for you this week.

WE PLAN TO MEET TOMORROW!

It appears that conditions should allow us to continue with our Sunday service as planned tomorrow. We plan to gather at 10:30am to continue our series on 1 Corinthians!

Please do be careful as you drive to the YMCA, as road conditions can vary across the county.

One change: We are postponing the Sunday class on “Preparing for Baptism” to next Sunday, February 1.

Hope is not just something we wish for, but hope is found in the person of Jesus Christ. Join us this upcoming Sunday evening for our Lessons and Carols service as we sing the songs that are meant to fill us with the hope of Christmas.

Can't wait to do this with East Athens Baptist Church!

We gave our guests Songhwan & Miran from South Korea the proper treatment with Navarro’s brisket & sausage today! Nothing like Tennessee barbecue.

The McGraws made it to Louisville!

It was bittersweet to pack them up & send them off yesterday, but we are excited to see what God has in store for them this year as Daniel attends the Sovereign Grace Pastors College!

Our Sunday class—Respectable Sins—continues this week with the topic of selfishness. Pray for Paul Houk as he prepares to teach & help us!
