GROWING TREE PRESCHOOL MESSY SCIENCE CAMP REGISTRATION IS OPEN
We will be having our 6th annual science camp, July 27-31st,2026 from 9am-12pm. This camp is for children ages 3 (and potty trained) through the summer before they start kindergarten. The children will do different science experiments each day supervised by our degreed teachers. There will be daily art projects as well. Growing Tree Preschool is now enrolling for the 2025-2026 school year!!

Growing Tree Preschool, located in the Athens First United Methodist Church, close to the Ohio University campus, has openings for children 3-5 years old. We offer a child-based program rooted in Christian values.

We are staffed by well-qualified, degreed Early Childhood educators and licensed through the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services.

We maintain a teacher to student ratio that is better than state requirements so that your child gets plenty of care and one on one attention throughout the day.
Our hours are from 8:45 am- 12pm Monday through Friday, and your child can enroll for 2, 3 or 5 days per week. Our program runs during the school year and is off during the summer.

We have carefully crafted monthly STEM/STEAM activities for our children, with an additional "Messy Science Week" at the end of the year. We have found that, over the past several years, science is important for fostering a child's development and critical thinking and reasoning.

We also provide our children with weekly and monthly music exposure, with occasional in-person entertainment from the Athens community and Ohio University School of Music.

If your child is getting ready to go to kindergarten the following year, he or she will get even more science as well as math, and language arts, with our specialized, hands-on PreK classes.

Our preschool hallway has key card security access only doors.

We cordially invite you to the Open House at Growing Tree Preschool, scheduled for Tuesday, August 19th, from 4:30pm to 6pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to discover more about our unique educational program. The event is open to all interested members of the public.

We are pleased to announce that the orientation for Growing Tree Preschool will be held on August 19th, from 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm, immediately following our Open House.
