🇺🇸🐾 HONORING THE FOUR-LEGGED HEROES OF 9/11

After September 11th, hundreds of search-and-rescue dogs worked alongside responders at Ground Zero — climbing through dangerous rubble, enduring exhaustion and injured paws, searching tirelessly for signs of life. When hope grew thin, handlers sometimes staged "finds" just to keep their dogs' spirits up.

But these dogs gave more than searches. They offered comfort to exhausted responders, sat with people in grief, and gave a hurting nation something it desperately needed: hope.

They didn't understand the tragedy around them. They just knew people needed them.

🇺🇸🐾 Forever heroes. Never forgotten.

Like every year we actually wish every day was Labrador day🐶🤎🖤💛🩶

Happy National Fog Day otherwise known as Sabrina’s birthday! Happy day Sabrina🎂🎂🎈🎈

Happy 250th! Stay safe!🇺🇸🇺🇸

To every dad who’s been dragged into the lake by a leash, who’s had a tennis ball dropped on his lap mid-Zoom call, who’s learned the hard way that “Labrador” and “leftovers” don’t mix — happy Father’s Day.

Being a good dog dad means endless fetch even when your arm is tired, a couch covered in fur you’ve stopped fighting, and a love so big it usually weighs at least 70 pounds. Dogs don’t know what Father’s Day is, but they know who shows up for walks, who sneaks them treats, and who they trust completely. That’s you.

To the dads who opened their homes to dogs — who saw past the shedding and the chewed-up furniture to the goofy, loyal heart underneath — thank you. You gave a dog who needed everything a home that gave them everything back.

Happy Father’s Day from all of us at SOS Labrador Retriever Rescue 🐾❤️

Have any puppies to show us?

Remembering all of Sophia’s pups,
Ginny, born in 2016 with her other siblings. She crossed the rainbow bridge in 2024, her human mom remembered her today so we thought we’d share this lovely photo of Ginny and the amazing puppy litter photo from 2016. For those who dont remember: left to right: Harper, Ginny, Lucy, Cali, Memphis, Drake. And Maya.🐾🌈🎂

It is with great sadness that we let you know that yesterday morning sweet Otter went on to hang with the rest of our original Team Chocolate.
