Beyond Blessed
Beyond Blessed means we are so blessed that we have an opportunity to be a blessing to others. We help with replacement photo IDs. Alone we can do so little.

Laundry day on Wednesday was great! We gave out 35 meals provided by Debbie Norton and Church of the Highlands/Madison. In addition , they brought nice snack bags, and drinks. Oasis brought snacks and drinks. Rex Holt came to learn more about this ministry. He did not come empty handed. He had delicious donuts. They sure enjoyed everything!
For those who have expressed an interest, the process for laundry is:
Our friends come with their dirty clothes. They find a washer or we help them find one. They put the clothes in the washer. We put their name on a paper and tape to the washer so we know whose it is. We provide detergent pads and quarters.
They are responsible for removing the clothes and taking them to the dryer when finished washing with their name tag to put on the dryer. We provide dryer sheets and put in quarters for the dryers.
When they are dry, they are responsible for removing the clothes from the dryers. Some fold neatly. Others cram them in a clean garbage bag that we provide.
Some do laundry and eat a meal. A few only come for the meal.
It gets pretty hectic and we don’t always have washers and dryers available so there can be a wait time but everyone is always patient.
As one of our volunteers left, he said this is always fun! It can get hectic but it can also be fun and is always rewarding!!!
We spent a record amount on laundry this time. We used a record amount on supplies but with donations, it is all good!!!
With your monetary donations, we were able to provide bug spray to everyone and gave out hygiene items to ladies. I have ordered ointment for all the bug bites they are experiencing!
Thank you to our volunteers who were on the floor going from washers to dryers and the ladies who made sure the meals were distributed and to our two transport guys!
Thanks to all who donate funds and their time to make this possible each month!
The first time we did this several years ago, we had one person. For months, we doubted the need for a laundry day! Now with 25-30(and growing ) each time, we know it was God’s plan for this to be a part of our ministry!
Alone we can do so little! Together we can do so much!

Just wanted to come on here with a post to say thank you to each one who has helped in any way to make it possible that we are able to continue to help our homeless friends. We continue to take out food bags when we can. Not as often as in the past but still doing it when we are able.
The big event each month is our laundry day for our homeless which we could not do without awesome volunteers and monetary donations.
God has and continues to bless this ministry. We are blessed to live in a loving and caring community!
When we started this ministry, for months and months, we funded everything ourselves. We soon realized we could not do it alone and you all stepped up to help in so many ways! I am so thankful for each one who has helped in any way!
I had no idea how true it is that:
Alone we can do so little! Together we can do so much!
This month creates a little confusion for Laundry and Shower Days.
Shower is the second Tuesday of each month and Laundry is the second Wednesday of each month so Laundry normally follows Shower.
But this month(April), because the first day of the month was on Wednesday, Laundry is tomorrow, April 8,2026.
Shower Day will be next Tuesday, April 14,2026.

Alone we can do so little! Together we can do so much!

The grandmother is covered. Comforter is covered. The dad's work boots and work socks are covered.
If you can't do all of a person's wish list but maybe one item, that is fine. Just let me know by Friday what you can do. If you can't shop and want to donate funds, I can order some of the items for them. I can get wrapping paper so they items can be wrapped.

Most of our ministry involves helping those who are homeless but there are times we get those calls for help for some who are housed but almost on the street. We received one of those calls yesterday.
A family of six in a trailer. Dad is working. Walks to work each day! Mom has cancer! Dad's mom lives with them and draws a small check. Three children, two adult. One has major anxiety attacks and lost her job because of it. Other two are special needs children.
Denied disability for kids because dad makes to much....Denied Food Stamps for same reason. But his pay really isn't that much considering the high rent and cost of food, etc.
They have no vehicle so the dad walks to work and the older daughter walks a good distance to get few groceries and meds.
The rent for that trailer is so high and without insulation, the utility bill runs so high!
There were two ladies yesterday who helped with some food bags and their utilities. They are going back today to check on them and help take the daughter to run errands when they need a ride. One of ladies is getting a wish list for a few items for the children for Christmas.
This family was found almost by accident because they did not ask for help. The oldest daughter just asked to come inside a building to get warm and dry(car ran her off road and she fell into ditch and got wet) on her walk to town. A sweet soul asked enough questions to learn their situation. That sweet soul drove her home and from there we got involved as well.
We know there are so many more out there in similar situations. Please pray for all who are struggling to just have the basics and stay housed!!! Times are tough for so many!
I often take for granted just how blessed that me and my family are! Days like yesterday are a reminder of those blessings!
God blessed us to be a blessing to others!!!
UPDATE: WE HAVE A COAT FOR THIS GUY!!! THANKS TO ALL WHO REACHED OUT TO TRY AND HELP!
We are in immediate need of a 2X heavy warm work coat for a guy working with no coat. We have been to all thrift stores and no one has one. Wanted to reach out here to see if someone possibly has one in their closet that they are no longer using!
