John 1:18 does not mean that no one had ever seen God with the physical eye, for many people had seen God before Jesus came. For example,

Genesis 32:30
Jacob called the name of the place Peniel, saying, “For I have seen God face to face..."

John 1:18 is saying that no one had ever seen the nature and character of God before Jesus, because they were seeing Him through the veil of the old testament. We can now see God clearly ONLY when we see Him through the lense of Jesus.

God is with you today, even if you can't feel Him or sense Him. He crossed the widest chasm to demonstrate His love to you. He faced the greatest tribulation that has and ever will happen on the earth in His pursuit of you. You don't have to press in, you don't have to strive. Just fall into His pursuit of you. Rest and receive His love for you. Lift your eyes up into His as He zealously seeks your face, your gaze.

GOD GIVES
(life, love, grace, provision, health, joy, peace, friends, family and every other good and perfect gift)

and

GOD TAKES AWAY
(sin, death, sickness, depression, anxiety, stress, hate, unforgiveness, bitterness, contention and every other weight of oppression).

Yes, we really are Jesus' valentine. The depth of His love and the profundity of our union with Him are beyond the greatest love any husband has for His wife. We are the bride of Christ, and this is absolutely beyond anything we could ever strive to be.

The "WORLD" has two meanings in the Bible.

One is very good, and one is very bad. It is important to be able to discern which meaning is being used in context and to convey which one we are talking about when posting and preaching.

For instance we are called to love the “world,” as God so loved the world and sent His only Son (John 3:16). This means we are called to love the earth and it’s creation that God called “good” in Genesis. This includes all mankind, believers and unbelievers.

The “world” we are not to love is defined in 1 John 2:15-17;

“The lusts of the flesh, the pride of life, and the deceitfulness of riches.”

Obviously we are to hate these evils in the world such as greed, s*x trafficking, s*xual immorality, hierarchy, chaos, destruction, etc. These things enslave people, and cause contention, wars, hate and so on.

There are around 40,000 denominatons of Christianity all saying that their interpretation of the Bible is correct. The bible doesn't bring unity. Unity is found in the Spirit and through the intimate knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Religion focuses on duty and obligation. It commands YOU to go and do good things and not do bad things. It focuses on YOUR behavior and actions and is disguised with terms like "holiness." It will turn you into a narcissist with the focus on self.

Jesus invites you to abide in HIS love for you. When you learn to rest and receive GOD'S love for you, you are changed from the inside out. HIS love flows through you to others, and HIS righteousness and Holiness start to manifest in your life.

Gospel 101

Satan is the one who brings death, steals peoples homes and lives, and brings chaos and destruction.

Many Christians unfortunately get God and Satan confused, because they read the Bible through the lense of the law rather than through the lense of Jesus Christ.
