There’s something new and exciting on the horizon here in Copeland Hall👀👀

Ever wonder how we keep ourselves busy when our students leave?
Dr. Mel was gracious enough last week to walk our whole team through the DiSC assessment!

DiSC® is a popular, personal assessment tool used to help improve teamwork, communication, and productivity in the workplace. For us, that means we’re learning how to work better together so we can better serve you!

While our students were finishing up their last week of classes, Cody, Mel, Lori, George, Tetyana, and Emily traveled all the way up to Windsor, Ontario in Canada for the NACADA Region 5 Professional Advising Conference!

While in Canada, they attended sessions to learn new things, ate some delicious food and saw some cool sights, aaaaaand Mel and Lori even presented a session at the conference on the formation of major and career-specific staff specialization teams to support holistic student success! This concept is something we’ve implemented in the CSSC lately which is why advisors may have changed.

Overall, the team is excited about the knowledge we brought back and are looking forward to the fall semester!😸💚
