December on the coast with The Mutineers. We can't wait to spend some cold drizzly evenings in these cozy establishments in Astoria and Seaside, Oregon. Why not make it a get away weekend and go to both?

Saturday 12/11 - Workers Tavern
Sunday 12/12 - Seaside Brewing Company
It feels good to slowly get things open again along the coast. But even with covid cases on the decline coastal retailers, restaurants, and bars are facing a slew of new challenges, particularly staff shortages. There is no better time than now to be kind and patient. A little bit goes a long way. (Photo credit: Workers Tavern, Astoria)
How's the reopening plans going?

A game of 10 questions around the campfire. Have you played it this summer?

LISTEN UP. I would like to remind all of our guests at Workers Tavern of what we think are a few obvious rules but in the summer of 2022, apparently warrant a reminder…

You may not smoke w**d in the bar garden, bathrooom or bar because it is an OLCC violation. We give no f***s if other bars allow you to do so.

You may not use deragatory language towards any other person. We give no f***s who you don’t like in this town or country.

You may not do co***ne in the bar garden, bathroom or bar because it is an OLCC violation. We give no f***s if other bars allow you to do so.

You may not get in fights, verbally or physically, in the bar garden, bathroom or bar because you’re drunk and stupid. We give no f***s if other bars allow you to do so.

You may not have s*x or engage in any s*xual activity in the bar garden, bathroom or bar because this is a bar, not a brothel or strip club or cheap hotel. We give no f***s if other bars allow you to do so.

You may drink cocktails, laugh, chat, dance, kiss, tell stories, joke around, make new friends, play darts, smoke a cigarette or v**e, flirt, gamble, play music, eat good food, drink local beer and enjoy yourself SAFELY. Everyone feeling safe inside Workers is our concern. We are not your home party, we are not a frat house, we are not a pay per view boxing match, we are not going to be that bar where you throw up or flash your dick. This is a business. We hold licenses, pay taxes and follow the rules. If that isn’t enough for you, well, guess what? We give no f***s and please go find that other magical unicorn bar that allows you to do anything you want.

This drink is for every woman who deserves a choice, deserves a future and deserves to be heard. This one’s for you sista’. May you outshine every m***a fu**er who tries to hold you back.

This guy.

Beer is good. Buoy beer is good.

Happy Tuesday from this smiley guy!

Workers Tavern has been serving Finns in Uniontown for a century so it seemed appropriate to become part of the new Nordic Heritage Park in downtown Astoria. This morning’s dedication was filled with stories of Scandinavian immigrants settling on the mighty Columbia River and represents the many families that have called the coast of Oregon their home for generations. Stop by the park sometime soon and read up on Astoria’s cultural heritage.

Workers Tavern will open at noon on Friday to join in the new Nordic Park celebration downtown at 10:30!
