Ware Medical regrets to announce the passing of our colleague Dr William Cohen.

Dr. William L. Cohen, age 79, longtime resident of Chadds Ford, PA, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2024. Born and raised in Havertown, PA, Dr. Cohen was a proud graduate of Haverford High School. A gifted athlete, he received multiple sports offers in basketball and football but chose to pursue academics, earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He continued his education at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), where he earned his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Cohen dedicated more than 40 years to caring for his patients as a physician at Aston Medical Associates in Aston, PA. His medical career was his passion and his life. His tireless devotion to his patients earned him respect and admiration from the community.
He is the son of the late Norman and Jane (Rose) Cohen.
Survivors: His loving wife of 50 years Carolyn Rose (Carli) Cohen, his three sons: Jim DiMeo (Katie), William L. Cohen, II (Melissa), Louis Cohen (Taneestar), his siblings: Doug Cohen and Carol Kane, as well as his grandchildren: Evan and Andrew Cohen, Corinne Wetterlund, Lia Rose Cohen and Chaeli McCay and Nicholas DiMeo.
Visitation: Tuesday, December 17,2024 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980, Chichester Ave. Aston, PA 19014 and Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 9:00-10:30am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home. Words of Remembrance: Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 10:45am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home. Burial: Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery, West Chester, PA. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in William's name to the American Heart Association, https://www.heart.org or The Aston Fire Department, P.O. Box 2172, Aston, PA 19014.

Dr. Cohen has been sick for quite some time.
We are looking to encourage him and lift his spirits.
He has touched many lives over the years.
