Nasturtiums are my absolute favorite plants. Not only are the blooms beautiful but the whole plant is a work of art. And edible too! The last few pictures are from 5 years back when I planted these beauties in my raised plant beds and they flourished. Now that the arborvitae are huge I cannot plant them in there so I make do with sneaking the seeds into all of my other planters and around my yard.
Nasturtiums are also nostalgic for me as they remind me of India where my Mom’s garden had them as a staple. Some things stay with you no matter where you go. I get my love of gardening, (amongst a million other things), from my mom ❤️

Manifesting Spring 🌷

Sometimes internet is the best place to be! Discovered these little beauties and found out that they are made by a local artist who lives right here in the area. When we went to buy some art from him, it was the coziest setting with the grown grandkids hanging out with the grandparents, eating cake 😊 We very kindly got offered some too and then discovered while chatting that we had visited the areas in Europe he grew up in. Fantastic coincidence!
Omer is a talented artist from Bosnia who moved here decades ago. His sweet granddaughter is now trying to bring his art to the community. If you would like to see his work or buy some of his art you can head to .art
Love these little additions to my art wall where my own art hangs proudly. The artist community thrives on supporting each other. Glad I discovered Omer and would definitely be buying more art from him in the near future.

Growing up Holi used to be one of my favorite festivals and over the years, I’ve loved recreating these traditions for my own family. My kitchen is currently smelling like childhood, thanks to my annual tradition of making Gujhiya and Mathri (sweet and savory Indian treats).
Holi brings pure joy to everyone it touches.
