✨Sweeney Todd HS Edition ✨

I have always wanted to help put on this show and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to do so. These kids are magnificent, worked incredibly hard, and were able to achieve a truly amazing show. This show is one of the hardest shows they have put together and I could not be any more proud of them. I am grateful for the time I get to work with these kids and the trust they put in me to teach the music and support them. I know they are capable of anything.
I have so much love for these young people.

🦋✨ Between the Lines ✨🦋

I am so incredibly proud of all the kids in this show! Losing a week of rehearsal, casting changes and short turn around times and they still pulled out an amazing show! I saw growth in Every. Single. Kid. In delivery of lines, in dancing and in harmonies. I saw these kids support each other and band together to create art. It is what makes my job the best in the world and worth all the long hours. I love them all so much.

✨Crybaby ✨

This show has been nothing short of incredible! The cast and crew just brought this show to life and raised every bar of expectation in their performances. How often can a director say they had TWO talented casts to make art with? As my father would say, “I am truly living the dream”. The magic doesn’t come from me it comes from the kids. I am so extremely grateful and humbled that I got to be a part of this and work with all these talented young people. Even more so, I am even more lucky I get to do it with former students turned family and . and were rockstars with choreography and this show wouldn’t be the same without it. All the tech kids that stepped up to help with set, costumes, and for being an amazing stage manager. and breathed life into the sound and handled the stress of the job with grace.
My heart feels so empty without seeing everyone from Crybaby every day.
To every single person that was a part of this show, you give me joy, you give me peace, you give me purpose and love for the art. You are the reason theater and music matter.
Thank you for spending three weeks with me this summer. I miss it already.

✨Once Upon a One More Time✨

I honestly am one of the luckiest people in the world. I got to see this show at its world premiere with people I love. I got to see it on Broadway with people I love and then I got to put it on stage with tons of people I love!!
This show was incredible and I am so incredibly proud of all the work the kids put into this show. But even more I love the magic it reminds me they possess. What makes every show worth it is being with the students, watching them succeed and seeing them step into their own magic. I am forever grateful to be there and a part of it all.
Saying goodbye to the seniors and the season is the biggest heartbreak but only because I love them so much. They fill my life with love and joy.
It’s not goodbye it’s a see you later.

✨🔥Hadestown Teen Editikn🔥✨

This show has been an incredibly inspiring experience for me. I’m so lucky to work with such a talented group of kids. This is an incredibly challenging show and every one rose to the occasion. I fell in love with this show all over again this weekend and every time I listen to the music I will think of this cast and the memories I have with them.
I don’t know how I got so lucky but I cherish it. What these kids achieved is nothing short of amazing. My heart is full of love and gratitude.

You guys are the reason I show up each day. Thank you.

I love this show so much! It’s one of my favorite family shows. And the kids were absolutely stunning! I am so proud of how they managed to still give an amazing performance after losing an entire week of rehearsal and then even more rehearsal because of snow! Both casts did a great job, the singing, the acting, the choreo and shout to addi for all her work with the blocks! Bravo!!!!

🎶Full Circle Moment 🎶

Choir was my favorite place in high school. My happy place and comfort. My best memories were made there and I was lucky enough to have a choir director that made the choir a family and taught us the true passion for making music.
This school year I directed my first concert as the choir director at Independence High School and there are no words to express my joy and gratitude. I can only hope to make my music teachers proud and give future singers the same experience I had.

💜Alice by Heart 💜

I feel sad after every show comes to an end but Alice hurts just a little bit more. This show was so incredibly special to me and I will never have the right words to describe the depth at which directing it with this group of people has touched me. The memories, the music and all the people- new and returning that are a part of this show will forever be in my heart as favorite moments of my life.
This show couldn’t have happened without the amazing team of people- Tran, all@our tech support, the cast and community.
I am so grateful for everyone who chose to do this show with us and I hope continue to do so!
