PeaceJam

🌎📚Happy World Teachers’ Day!

Behind every young person creating change is someone who believed in them first.

Today, we’re celebrating the teachers and PeaceJam Club Advisors who inspire young people to believe that their actions can make a difference.

Thank you for bringing PeaceJam to life! From exploring peacebuilding through the curriculum, to guiding service projects and creating opportunities for youth to connect, learn, and lead.

Thank you for helping grow the next generation of peacebuilders! 🌍

Did you hear?!

PeaceJam South Africa is less than 10 days away from their 11th Annual Youth Conference! 350 young changemakers will be gathering in Cape Town for a weekend of courage, creativity, and community. This year's theme reflects the global PeaceJam 30th Anniversary theme "Peace Takes All of Us." Joining them will be 1997 Nobel Peace Laureate Jody Williams!

Check out the PeaceJam South Africa social media to follow the countdown!⌛️ We will be sharing lots of footage next weekend.

🕊️ 21 Voices for Peace

This September, PeaceJam Uganda gave the microphone to 21 voices for peace, sharing personal reflections on what peace means, what it asks of us, and how we can continue choosing peace in the face of today’s challenges.

Guided by our 30th anniversary theme, “Peace Takes All of Us,” the campaign brought forward stories, hopes, and reminders that peace is built person by person, through the ways we listen, care, speak up, and show up for one another.

A special thank you to PeaceJam Uganda for creating this beautiful campaign and for continuing to lift up the voices of young people and community members who are carrying the movement forward.

Here’s a look back at some of the voices and moments from 21 Voices for Peace. 💙
