Have a look at our fresh air setup at Richmond Hill. Any ERV is going to give you continuous filtered air. The BRINK ERV from @475.supply gives us additional filtration with the PURE filter and additional heating and cooling with the G-6000 pre-conditioner. The G-6000 can call for demand from a thermostat, just like any other “zone” of the hydronic system for both heating and cooling. We can send 50 degree water to the G-6000, which acts almost like a radiator, cooling off the incoming air to help keep the space cool in summer. With only in floor hydronic cooling, it will be interesting to see how effective this approach is to take the edge off on a hot summer day.

Mini straw panel progress video! Since joining the Seed Collaborative Straw Panel network along with .design , we’ve been slowly but surely planning our Colorado launch of straw bale insulated SIP panels. This mini panel mock up is one the early steps to start sharing this new wall system offering.

Preliminary blower door testing on the Conifer project was an overall success! The clients and the architect came out the jobsite today for our first air tightness testing. Our goal was 1 air change per hour at 50 pascals of pressure (ACH50). Our first test was around 0.5ACH50. After a little work by our extended team, we got things down to 0.4ACH50. It’s a promising start! If we put in more effort, we think we could probably get down to 0.3, but we are happy where we are at. We still have MEPs and another wall to could and insulate, so we will test again to ensure our air barrier integrity is in place. Thanks to for the thoughtful design and @475.supply for the air barrier consulting and products!
Shoutout to for leading the air sealing details onsite.

Progress. We are insulating the envelope at our Conifer project. Next will be air sealing and air tightness testing before more framing and MEPs. Looking forward to getting the temporary heat set up!

Framing is almost complete on our Conifer build. We had a mild, dry fall and a few inches of snow was a welcome change. We hope you all have a rejuvenating weekend!

A wonderful weekend full of love, learning, and sharing with old friends and new colleagues. Thank you to everyone we had the opportunity to spend time with and learn from. It was illuminating and rejuvenating. Big thanks to the board of the , including our owner Cheryl. You all put a lot of work into this and it showed. If all conferences were like this the world would be a better place.
