Reading Reform Across America: A Survey of State Legislation, conducted by the Shankar Institute, found that only one third of states included instructional systems and principal leadership to support and sustain the Science of Reading practices in schools.

They concur with the message our founder, Pati Montgomery, has been claiming for years, without instructional systems and principal leadership, the implementation of the Science of Reading won’t sustain in our schools. Teachers cannot do this in isolation.
