Big thank you to for facilitating the 2025 Texas ASLA Capitol Site Tour!

We had the opportunity to highlight the vital role Landscape Architects play in protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the public every day.

It was inspiring to see lobbyists and TBAE representatives in attendance as we came together to advocate passionately for our incredible profession. 🌿

Great job representing landscape architects to Texas State Legislators, Matthew Stubbs!

Saturday, July 19th - Texas ASLA member Matt Stubbs led Texas State Representative of the 10th District Brian Harrison on a site tour of the newly constructed Ennis Library Children’s Garden. The tour for Representative Harrison joined the day's Ennis Library Re-Opening ceremony.

The purpose of the site visit was to show Representative Harrison an example of the important work that Landscape Architects are doing throughout the State to protect the Health, Safety, and Welfare of the public. The Ennis Library Children’s Garden is a fun and engaging space that will provide children the opportunity to engage and learn with other children or sit in the shade of a tree and read a book.

Representative Harrison presented the library with a certificate of recognition of their re-opening as part of the event and mentioned in his speech how he was excited to spend his morning with the citizens of Ennis before heading back to Austin for the Special Session.
