[2:10 AM 4/28/26]: An enhanced risk for severe storms will continue Tuesday as a cold front pushes through the region. The strongest and most widespread storms will be southeast of I-44. Storms will be capable of large hail, damaging wind, and tornadoes.

Here's the latest regarding today's Severe Weather Threat for our area. Please be prepared and have multiple ways to receive warnings, regardless of what your doing today.

Last seen between noon at 1pm on Monday, April 20, 2026.

Last seen wearing navy blue top and gray bottoms.

Arkoma Emergency Management in need of volunteers for year-round response efforts While many people associate emergency management with severe weather, Parker said the work extends far beyond storms.

ATTENTION: We are needing help from someone who lives on Ruth, Teen or Lynn Drive.

This is simple and only requires someone to be able to report back to us regarding the Tornado Siren located at Ruth and Stateline Road.

SIREN TEST: Arkoma Emergency Management will be conducting our regular Monthly Outdoor Siren System Test this Wednesday (02/04) at 12 Noon.

Safety first: No routes will run out of our Van Buren facility tomorrow (Monday) due to road conditions. Based on the current forecast, we're likely to remain closed Tuesday as well.
