Nonprofits expands service in DeSoto County with new 'navigator: To build on the success of its family navigation services in DeSoto County, First 1000 Days Suncoast has added a new staff member, Jailene Soto.

“We’ve seen firsthand how meaningful it is for families to have a trusted guide to help them navigate services and supports,” said Ashley Coone, CEO at Links to Success. “This expansion strengthens our collective ability to connect families with the help they need and continue building a stronger support system for children and caregivers in DeSoto County”.

Nonprofits expands service in DeSoto County with new 'navigator' ARCADIA — A tri-county network of community partnerships announced that a new hire has greatly expanded its family resources to DeSoto County.

They are trained to source low-cost internet for you or your home, obtain affordable or free computers, and help you learn how to use the internet and computers in ways that are most helpful and meaningful to you. They work confidentially and free of charge. So, if you’re been curious about email or social media, want to start a business, learn new skills for a better paying job, or want to change careers altogether, a Digital Navigator can help. Don’t have a computer? Afraid of using one? They can help.

Thanks to The Patterson Foundation’s support, the Digital Navigator Program is now in its fourth cohort, with a focus on DeSoto County.
