To the Limit Guide Service

Fished Jim Yancy again today along with his son and grandson. I remember fishing his son when he was a little guy as well and now I have taken his 4 yr old grandson 3 times! This little guy actually caught some fish without having any help! Always fun times when the Yancy's are with me. They caught 9 blackdrum and 5 speckled trout! Such nice people to spend the day with!

What a different day it was today with quite a bit more wind and the fish were definitely not biting good at all. I took C**t Campbell and his 8 yr old son again today and we struggled to get 4 trout in the box and we needed 6. C**t's son did get him a nice redfish though and we covered quite a bit of water. Checked where I was catching those blackdrum and they were gone. Probably all the boats on the water yesterday. C**t should be very proud of his 8 yr old son as he's so polite and can handle getting up early and staying fishing even when it's slow and handled that redfish better than a lot of grown men. Spending time with your children fishing or hunting is priceless and makes a lot of difference in their lives!

Fished C**t Campbell his son and a friend today. C**t was a fishing guide and ran trips out of Hamptons Landing for awhile and that's where I met him years ago. He also was a hunting guide and guided duck hunts when I ran Port Bay Club and really helped me out. He doesn't live very close to the coast anymore so he just books a few fishing trips instead of having a boat to trailer down here and then all the maintenance. He made my day very easy and really just wanting his son to have a good time and learn stuff. He fished with Dwayne Clark yesterday evening and they limited on trout as Dwayne is one of the BEST! We limited quickly on Speckled Trout and found a small group of blackdrum and managed to catch 5 keepers before they left. Lots of people on the water today with the Pipeliners Tournament and a couple others i heard. Fishing C**t and his son again tomorrow and looking forward to it. It's not everyday you have someone that flat doesn't miss any fish in your boat!

Went out for awhile this morning and then had to run back to the dock because of weather. We went back out and ended up with 10 good speckled trout. The blackdrum i have been catching were gone. We did catch something I have never caught in my life. It's in the picture! Strange day today 🤔

I fished long time clients/friends today and its always a fun day with these guys. This young man has fished with me since he was just a little guy! Slammed the fish easily today with 15 blackdrum and their 9 speckled trout! Fun Day it was!

Well just finished running 4 trips and off tomorrow for a doctor's visit. It was kinda tough a couple of those days for sure. We caught 15 trout 1 of those days and today was 15 blackdrum and 2 redfish, then we also had maybe two 7fish days! Dang there were lots of boats on the water these last few days. Some of these folks need to pass some kind of test before they are allowed to run a boat. Crazy 🤪 out there this weekend. Had a guy almost run over my anchor line and he was really going fast. Then today this guy comes right over a shallow bar and in between us and the blackdrum. I may start fishing the back bays especially on weekends. Either Copano or Nueces Bay. Just getting kind of crazy at the boatramp and on the water on weekends! I have fished those Bays for years so I know them very well. It's just been so convenient being close to the ramps and not having to trailer very far. Also it's getting harder to catch a good box of fish close with so many people running all over the flats all weekend. I swear I think people don't have near the commen sense that they used to. I was running a skiff when I was 11 years old and I see grown men doing stupid things in boats with 300 and 400 horsepower! I don't get mad i just shake my head in disbelief that so many people are idiots! Rant Over!

I took 5 people today and they managed to catch their 15 speckled trout. It was a scratch but we got them! We fished a few stops for redfish during the trip but didn't find any. Got me a short nap this evening and ready to get back out there in the morning! Just a few pics of today's group!

Moved today's trip to tomorrow as I had Thursday booked off as my 1 day off this week. Worked out good for my clients and of course I am up since 3 this morning. Kinda get in that habit and wanted to get my coffee made in case we lost power. Be safe out this morning we have some pretty strong thunderstorms heading our way right now. Take care!

Managed to catch a decent box today and I went all the way to Blind Pass which I haven't done in awhile. I was looking for some reds and we did catch that big one there and several oversized speckled trout. It was a fun day with super people that I have fished for quite a few years! We had quite a bit of action with small trout, oversized trout, a few good keepers, some gafftop,and some skip Jack's ( lady fish). Look for that bunch of reds with our name on it! Tight Lines
