✈️ Traveling to Europe? EES and ETIAS are not the same thing.
Here’s the difference:
EES is the European Union’s biometric border system. Eligible non-EU travelers entering the Schengen Area may have their fingerprints and facial image collected at the border. There is no fee, online application, or pre-registration required.
ETIAS is a separate paid travel authorization that travelers will eventually complete online before departure. It is not currently active, so be cautious of websites attempting to sell ETIAS applications now.
Travelers entering through Ireland or Cyprus are not processed through EES, while EU, EEA, and Swiss citizens are exempt. Children under 12 are exempt from fingerprint collection, although a facial image may still be required.
European entry requirements continue to evolve, so planning ahead and working with an experienced travel advisorcan help prevent confusion before your trip.

Let me put y’all on real quick… ✈️
If you’ve been noticing travel getting more expensive…
you’re not imagining it.
Baggage fees are going UP again.
👉 JetBlue has already increased checked bag fees by about $4–$9 depending on travel dates
👉 United Airlines just followed with increases of $10–$50 on checked bags
And let’s be clear…
👉 Delta Air Lines hasn’t officially announced new increases yet,
but historically when one airline moves… the others follow 👀
📊 WHY THIS IS HAPPENING
It’s not random.
Fuel prices have surged—almost doubling in some cases—and airlines are passing those costs onto travelers
But here’s the part people don’t talk about…
Instead of raising ticket prices (which people notice immediately)…
airlines increase “hidden” costs like:
✔️ baggage fees
✔️ seat selection
✔️ add-ons
So the flight LOOKS cheaper…
but ends up costing more 😏

With everything going on globally and operationally…
Airlines like United Airlines are already warning about:
