Which is your favorite grandfather clock in the Mudd Library? Both were donated to Milwaukee-Downer College in 1902 by Kate Flanders Duryea (MD class of 1868) in honor of her parents, and are referred to as the Flanders clocks. These, along with 6 other grandfather clocks came to LU circa 1965 as a result of the consolidation. This week, the more ornately carved of the two library clocks was repaired by a local clock repair person/horologist. To get to the clock face mechanism, several parts needed to be carefully removed.

There's still time to stop by to see the Ethnic Studies 110 class exhibit- Untold Stories: Building Counternarratives through Rebellion. The exhibition will remain up through June 9th. The students chose a wide range of fantastic historic artifacts & digital humanities projects to show rebellion- maps, TV shows, food, newspaper ads, photographs, and more!
