When I first saw my Human Design chart, I felt a spark of excitement. It told me I was a 3/5 Emotional Manifestor, and while it looked fascinating, I had no idea what any of it meant. What I did know was that something in me recognized it. So, I followed that nudge. ✨

I started exploring the pieces of my chart and learning that Human Design is a map of how my energy is designed to work. I joined communities, attended conferences, took classes, and connected with people who were also trying to understand themselves more deeply. Six years later, I’m still learning and growing, but the foundations I discovered early on changed the trajectory of my life.

I learned that being a Manifestor means my energy is here to initiate, spark ideas, and create momentum. It comes in powerful bursts, not in steady, sustainable waves. For years, I tried to keep up with everyone else, shrink myself, and work in ways that weren’t aligned for me. I burned out — hard. Understanding my Manifestor energy helped me reclaim my pace, my impact, and my “bigness.”

Discovering my 3/5 Profile was another turning point.

The 3rd line — the Martyr — is all about trial and error. That has been the story of my life. I used to carry shame about my “mistakes,” but Human Design reframed them as experiments, discoveries, and lived wisdom.

The 5th line — the Heretic — showed me why people often project expectations onto me or look to me in moments of crisis. I now recognize those projections for what they are and no longer take them on as my responsibility.

And learning I have Emotional Authority explained so much. I’m not designed to make big decisions in the moment. I need time, space, and emotional clarity. My process comes in waves — excitement, doubt, back‑and‑forth — until I finally land in what feels true. Honoring that has made my choices more aligned and my life more grounded.

These were all things I had felt for years but didn’t have language for. Human Design gave me a framework that helped me understand myself with compassion instead of criticism.

And the more I learned, the more I felt the deep relief of knowing:

I’m here to be perfectly me.
And so are you. 🥰

If you’re curious about your own chart, it’s based on your birth information — date, city, state, and exact time (usually found on your birth certificate). Your design can reveal how your energy works, how you make the most aligned decisions, and how you’re naturally meant to move through the world.

A friend shared this reflection about Human Design recently, and her words capture so much of what this work opens up for people:
