Long overdue post!
June 10th the contemporary art exhibit opened at The Trout Museum in Appleton, WI. My piece, Comfort, won Best in Show!! Surprised, excited, and honored.

Don’t miss this show. It is a beautiful showcase of incredibly talented artists from WI. Paintings, sculpture, video, drawing, installation, jewelry… The exhibit is open until August 13th.

Started my new job at the Milwaukee Art Museum this past Monday! Just a couple of photos from my lunch breaks. 🤩

You know when you’re exhausted and lay down expecting to fall asleep but instead your thoughts run wild? Those moments and the thoughts that come with are what inspired this new piece.

Last week Friday I was honored to be invited to my nieces junior art docent graduation presentation

She gave an amazing and well researched talk about and his piece “MMPI (self-portrait in yellow). She talked about how it challenged her and helped see how art can be made from everything that surrounds us.

I’m so proud of this amazing human 🥰 and can’t wait to see what she does next.

Head over to tonight and take a peek at the MARN mentorship show “Practice in Progress”. This show features an incredible group of Milwaukee artists who work in all mediums. The cohort will be there celebrating from 5-9 tonight! 🥳🥳

The MARN mentorship program was an amazing experience. The monthly meeting I had with were so fulfilling and a reminder of how important community is when making art.

MARN has an open call for both mentors and mentees every year and I highly recommend Milwaukee artists to apply. See you tonight!!
