HAPPY MAKERS MONDAY!

As promised, i said I had a few axes on the bench. Well they are finally done! Took some time doing multiple axes at once but they turned out awesome! First, is a Wenge core w/ green veneer and Hickory skins. The Hickory has been burned, sanded, and dyed green. This big axe comes in at 3 lbs 0.3 oz, 18 1/2 inches long.
Second is another big axe build. This one is a black center w/ green veneer core, flanked by Hickory, another layer of green veneer and to finish it off, Red Oak on the outside dyed a green to black fade. This beauty weighs in at 3 lbs 0.6 oz at 25 inches long.
Third & fourth are 2 hatchets. Both are 18 1/2 inches long & mimic the big axe explained above, per customer request. The first weighs in at 2 lbs 7.1 oz. The second weighs in at a very light 1 lb 14.1 oz.
These throwers will love there new sharp objects. Throw well, I hope these have a 32 or 64 in their future.

I know I havent posted in a while so here is an update:

Life has been hectic so far this year. We are in the process of moving to GA. Most of the shop is moved, with hopes to have the rest moved by the first week of March. Once settled and set up, we should be back in buisness shortly after. Stay tuned!

For those that have contacted me about work or I already have your work, please know you have not been forgotten. We appreciate your patience at this time. Thank you for all the support!

It's easy to say, one of the best parts of Axe Throwing is the community that quickly becomes family.

Thank you to Heather Pudell for this amazing hand made gift! Devil Dog Axe Co is so happy to have you and your family in our lives!

Hot off the bench. This will be an amazing thrower. This is an 18" Hickory core w/Black Walnut and a White Oak inlay. Black Walnut & White Oak checkered wedge w/ Black Walnut skinny cross wedge. Finished and polished the head but head work done by William Erkelens III.

Well here is the axe I started last night. As stated earlier, this is my partners Duals axe. It was a failed QA. It will be thrown at WATC.

*Straightened the eye on this one to make it straight and true. Hickory handle finished with BTO. Minor reprofile of the edge and finished the head at 320 grit.*
