Kenkey O Kenkey, a bite of you and I'm flooded with memories of home. Mama's (Yaaye's) face as she makes you with tireless love, the smells and sounds of fish frying while Dad ( K Danso) grinds pepper sauce ( nothing could be more organic). Do I miss the taste of a combo of you, Kakadiamaa (octopus) and Sh*to? Yes💯. There are very few bonds stronger than that of friends 'demolishing' a meal of kenkey from the same plate after a game of soccer. O the memories!
Your 'Otinshinu'😄 saw me through many a fever and on a hot afternoon in sun kisses Ghana, mashed ice kenkey with nuts and milk never failed.
Piolo Pascual was right, food does preserve memories.
