On top of all of this, ginger has a mild sedative quality to help you get the rest that is needed when you are under the weather.
2. Garlic:
Garlic contains anti-fungal and anti-bacterial compounds. It also helps to boost the immune system and a natural antibiotic.
3. Echinacea:
Echinacea flower petals and leaves contain anti-bacterial compounds and is a powerful immune system booster. It is helpful in preventing both bacterial and viral infections.
4. Sage:

5. Cinnamon:

8. Goldenseal:
Goldenseal contains anti-fungal, antibacterial and antiviral compounds. It is also antiseptic and an immune system booster. It helps to activate white blood cells for the destruction of fungi, viruses, bacteria, and tumor cells.
9. Lemon:
Fresh lemon juice is an excellent source of vitamin C and enhances the flavor of sick teas.
To make an antiviral or sick tea, simply combine the ingredients that you feel will be the most beneficial for you. Whether your goal is to prevent flu or to treat a condition that is already in progress, choose among these effective home remedies for brewing. Simply chop up the ingredients you will be using, place them in a cheesecloth bag, or you can boil them right in the pot with water for 5 to 10 minutes. Strain the tea and enjoy.
