TRUE WEST SALON is a newly established hair salon in community lacking a salon designed around the whole family. Most salons in the area are a "one man band" marketing to the snowbird generation quickly aging and fading away. Our target client is the retiring babyboomer generation retiring to the east valley. This target group is retiring from two income households that have become used to taking their appearance serious to sustain working in the public eye. No more going gray and no shampoo/ sets. They are active, youthful and vain. The billion dollar industry is evidence this group considers salon visits not a treat, but a part of life that they budget for the same as food and gas.

Also the housing being built and population growth to the area is rapidly recovering and many working class households with children are evident by the number of schools and hospitals within a fifteen mile radius.

We are located in a prime strip mall, with great anchor stores. Harbor Freight, Big Five, Big Lots, Dollar General, Bashas Groceries and Goodwill to name a few.

TRUE WEST SALON is located in a site that used to be a thriving salon, with nine stylist and four barbers, and all were busy enough to provide a good income to their families.

We have been open only three months, the slowest months in Arizona's hot summer and the response is awesome. We have four employees and are looking to employ three to four more to be prepared for the "Snowbirds" in October that doubles the population for this zip code through April. Our goal is to put the barbershop back in and to acquire the suite next to us to provide massage wellness to a community that lacks the big city luxuries of taking care of mind and body. Also we will retail essential oils for aromatherapy and well being.
