Apache Junction Police Cadets

Throwing it back to AJPD’s Special Olympics Torch Run! We ran alongside officers to support an organization that helps people with intellectual disabilities participate in sports.

A past event that we have done is the truck or treat! In this event we were handing out candy and were able to do foot patrol for the event! 👻🎃

Part of being a Cadet is being able to do scenarios and interact with each other on how they do things differently than what we do. In this scenario we were doing a high risk traffic stop, and learning about how it works and what happens during a high risk traffic stop.

In one of our most recent Cadet meetings, Cadets learned different skills and tactics to learn and improve their abilities in communication, teamwork, and interaction with residents.

We are the Apache Junction Police Cadets!

We are 14-20 year olds interested in law enforcement careers and volunteer with the Apache Junction Police Department. We attend community events and learn defensive tactics, traffic control, and other leadership skills.
