Creating a Promising Future – AJ Gold Canyon News Last summer, I joined Apache Junction Unified School District with a lot of excitement and intentions to take it slow, learn about the district, build relationships, and examine the different organizational systems. However, the best-laid plans rarely go as expected. Early in my stint as superintend...

Thank you.
Hello everone,
Effective immediatly, I Braden Biggs am resigning as chairman of CFSOS. I can not in good conscience publically support the 5 day as the Chairman of the organization, while opposing it personally.
It should not come as a surprise to any of you, that I intend to run for the Governing Board this year, and I feared already that it would become a conflict of interest. It was made very evident tonight, that is just that case.
While I have enjoyed my time as Chairman and I wish the group success. It is time for a unbiased leader to take the helm as the organization was set to be non political and non issue.
I will continue to be a member of the group, and an advocate of the organization and its overall mission.
I respect you all immensely and wish us all success. It is my personal fear this will cause a mass exodus of staff and students. Judging by the views in the room I will not be surprised.
I do not feel the governing board listened to the community in the least bit. They had a pre-determined decision already made up when they walked in the room.
At this time, the vote has been cast, and we will do what we can to make AJUSD great.
Thank you,
Braden Biggs

This is a huge win for Save Our Schools Arizona!!!!!
Judge tosses lawsuit to stop Arizona's school-voucher referendum Judge Margaret Mahoney ruled that the people who brought the suit did not have standing at the time it was filed. That means Prop. 305 moves ahead.
We have heard great things about the governing board meeting live broadcast yesterday!!! It looks like we have over 1000 views on the videos... this was the first attempt at it, so we will keep trying it. Looking forward to bringing you the meetings.
Best,
Braden
