Helped a customer out with a quick turnaround who broke a shaft on his tractor. Turned and machined a couple of new tractor shafts out of 4140 and threaded each end. Looks sweet!

We had some down time over the holidays, so we made the big boss (George) a piece of coin art (paperweight). Turned out great and he is happy now and won’t yell at us…at least for a short period.🤪

Congratulations to Neal R. Swinney for receiving his first Design Patent and the plaque looks great on the office wall! We are lucky to have such a talented, creative, hard working and innovative thinker on the AMS team. We are going to do great things together!

We are excited to announce that we are expanding our Machine Shop floor space by taking over the adjacent suite. COVID was a struggle to get through but we have all pulled together to make it happen. Thanks to all of our own individual contributions, hard work and commitment to each other as well as to this small business and our customers! Upward and onward!🍾🎉🍾👏🏻

Not something we do often but one of our customer asked us to help them rebuild their old John Deer gear case. Cracked case, shaft threads destroyed, bad seals and bearings. Sources new case (not easy), soured and installed new seals and bearings and built up shaft and cut new threads and replaced locking nuts. Too old to buy new so we helped them solve their problem. Job shops always have interesting challenges.👍🏻👌🏻😂

Finally got pi**ed after too many years of a single pile of new and used sand paper. Looking through to separate the new from the old and desired grit was just plain crazy. Pretty simple and not that expensive to organize the right way. 👍🏻 We are continuously working towards a place for everything and everything in its place organization policy. Continuous Improvements never stops!

Quick-Turn small job to help a customer who could not find a 1”-14x3-1/2” FHSC so we made them a couple out of 4140 for a load cell application. The guys in the shop hate me for asking them to always make a spare so I can use for advertising and showing new potential customers…darn salesmen!😜

When you have to buy another material rack because your first one is overflowing means one of two things…1) your converting material into sales at a good rate….or 2) Your a martial hoarder and always thinking, I may use that one day😂🥴

Trued up and turn down a couple of axle flanges to match a hub for a local customer.
Manual machining is good for the mind and breaks up the monotony from the CNC work.😵‍💫

The fun part of owning a Job Shop…you just never know what will come through the door but it’s always satisfying to help solve a customer’s problem….Providing a little thread relief on this pipe…the old Webb lathe wins again!

Chucking up some 6” dia CRS x 9” long to round stock for a 3-1/2” bore. Heavy little critters. Neal likes the manual Machining more than the CNC 🤪. Let the chips fly!
