Heart dissections are back! Our class of future Surgical Technologists got their hands on some awesome pig hearts! They were able to locate and identify the hearts major vessels, the 4 chambers, 4 valves, and even the chordae tendineae, aka the "heart strings." Our students also got the opportunity to teach students from some of CCMCC's other programs about the flow of blood through the heart!

Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, CA is hiring for Surgical Techs.



Sequoia Hospital has 12 Operating Rooms in two locations supporting approximately 5,000 cases per year. The Main OR has four (4) suites used for our high-volume total joint orthopedic surgery procedures. The Pavilion OR has eight (8) suites mainly used for our general, GYN, urology, spine, cardiac and vascular procedures. We also utilize the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System for minimally invasive robotic surgeries.

The base starting pay for the Senior Surgical Tech is between $43.6369 to $48.0601 per hour, plus a differential of $1.75 evenings and $2.00 nights.
