With storms that absolutely trashed our neighborhood and knocked us out of power for 2 days, we didn't think we would make it to CKNA Round #2 at Road America. Thankfully power came back on and we were able to hop in the truck and make it just in time.
Weston drove the wheels off of his kart this weekend and came in 2nd to his buddy on both days. Weston ran fast lap times, staying in contention to the leader. He stayed consistent, clean and made some smart choices to drive it home with 2 podium wins.
We had some friends come support us as a team and were wonderful help all weekend. We love you guys Brandi Nick Thank you for all that you do for us!! We also got to visit with old and new friends. It was a wonderful weekend!!
Thank you Krybaby Performance for keeping us fast all weekend!!

We have been racing non-stop lately so im late on some updates. Wes has been racing Badger and Road America pretty much back to back. Our last badger race we were just shy of that podium finish, coming in at 4th in the feature. We have been racing with some very talented drivers and Wes is having so much fun learning from the tough competition.
Yesterday we raced at Road America. Man!! was it a fun race to watch. There was a lot of battling going on throughout the entire track. Wes gave it his very best. He's digging deep to work on his race craft and little by little he is gaining ground. He had fast lap times, he is learning to draft and work with other drivers, and most importantly he is having fun doing it!
We were supposed to start 9th but accidentally lined up in 11th position and finished either 7th or 8th (different apps for timing said different things and I was paying more attention to his driving then his position) We are excited for the season ahead!

Couldn't have said it better! đ
Right now, somewhere in America, a family is hauling their trailer down the highway, heading home from a weekend at a national kart race. Everyoneâs a little sunburned, the coolerâs empty, and the trailer smells like fuel and tires. Emotions might be running high. With hundreds of drivers and just a handful of wins, most racers are heading home without a podium finish. Thatâs a tough ride home.
Every race season, we see it play outâin the pits, on the grid, or rolling through tech. Some parents are frustrated. Some kids are in tears. And sometimes itâs downright heartbreaking. The results donât always reflect the effort, the late nights tuning, the weekends spent at the track, the PTO days burned just to chase laps around the country.
But hereâs the deal: karting is supposed to be fun. Itâs something we get to do with our kidsânot something they owe us results for.
Your kid doesnât know how much that set of Hoosiers cost. They donât care about the gas bill, the entry fees, or the hotel that smelled like clutch dust. They came to drive. To hang out with their track buddies. To feel the thrill of racing at full throttle.
You might be focused on winning. Your kid? Theyâre just focused on racing.
Of course they want to win. But they need to hear that youâre proud of them for how they drove that heat raceâeven if they spun out in the final. They need a high five for nailing turn 3, not just for taking the checkered flag. You wonât win every weekendânot even if youâve got the fastest chassis, the best gear, or a pit cart with Bluetooth speakers and a built-in grill.
But win or lose, theyâre still your racer. Still your little wheelman. Still the reason you got into this crazy sport in the first place. So make sure they knowâreally knowâyouâre proud of them. Because that matters a whole lot more than another trophy on a shelf.
Weâll see you at the next one. Travel safe. Keep wrenching. And rememberâ
Winning might get you the biggest trophy and a highlight on social media.
But losing your connection with your kid?
Thatâs the biggest DNF of all.
There's nothing better than waking up at a race track with your friends and race family, doing what we love!đĽ°
Hey Bro! You can't park there đ
Psa.. All karts WERE hurt in the making of this video but thankfully the kids were OK!
After Saturdays fun at RA, we headed to Badger to camp out with some friends. On Sunday Wes raced Badgers club race #2.
First session out and Weston hit a kart that spun in front of him, causing some front end damage. Unfortunately we didn't have the tools to fix it. It was drivable so he continued the day on a bent chassis.
Wes raced his heart out and had some fast lap times comparable to the leaders. He ran as far up as 3rd position in the final but his pace was off just enough to fall right back behind the front pack.
Wes was so excited to run with some of the best drivers we know. He has great respect for their talent and is hopeful to be in contention with them this season. His fire for racing is there and we can see the grit building. This boy is determined!!

Saturday we raced Road America's first weekend points race. This was Weston's very first time racing club in sportsman. Wes came out swinging, running right with the top dogs. We had no expectations for this race other then tuning in the kart but Wes had different plans! He managed to pull off 3rd place position even after not racing this track in a very long time. We were amazed to say the least.
