Hey everyone! I just want to thank my amazing clients for being so patient. We are trying to navigate this year with the uncertainty of what to expect coming out of Covid. We are getting busier, and when I have team members that are sick, I do not have multiple people to step in. So we all pitch in the best we can. And you all have been very understanding.
Please, if you are going to get married this year, or you know someone that is, book soon so you get on the calendar, even if you don't have your dress yet. That way we can assure you are getting in.

It's been one year today that we re-opened back up after our 2 week "flattening the curve" stay. We watched so many brides having to deal with the most uncertain timelines. We are not at full capacity with either clients or staff but we are watching many brides get married this year! So please! It is with great sadness that I let you know that one of our original mascots from Amazing Alterations Shae crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday. The day after her 14 birthday. She was the shy one. But so many of our amazing clients came to see the girls in the earlier years. They aren’t there anymore. But they were a big part of hanging out with the brides. She will be missed my princess Shae Shae.

Hey all my beautiful brides and bride-to-be's, and my amazing clients! So! masks are an essential item now. So when you come to our shop to get your dress fitted, we are requiring you wear a mask. If you don't have some, we have some for sale for 10.00. Before anyone disses me for this, they are being made by my employees who are still laid off and fabric is incredibly hard to some by. AND! I am asking you to please keep the number of people you bring with you down to 0 or 1. Of course your own masks are great if you have them. But we do sell them. Washable, reusable. And we are tying to have cute ones. (yes we have plain for all you "not over the top" people lol!). We want everyone to be safe. Follow our preparedness plan and get everyone ready for their big day, whatever that may look like these days. Can't wait to see you all! And trust me, I am smiling under that mask!! 😁
Hey ladies!! So, as we are getting busier, and we are trying to be as "normal" as we can, and trying to get you all in with limited staff, we are asking you to PLEASE do not bring everyone with you to your fitting. Listen, I get it. I would want my mom, and mother-in-law, and bridesmaids, and everyone else with me. Please understand, with the whole Covid thing, I am trying to get my staff back at full capacity. I am trying to get your dresses ready for your big day - whatever that may look like in these unusual times. We want people to be safe. I am running two pinners on a few days a week, in 4000 sq ft. So we can meet all of the demands of you ladies to get ready for your big day. So, with two of us, and we each take a client in a different part of the store, and I have two receptionists, and a sewer, that is 5 employees. And I have had brides come at the same time, which should be 7 people in the store, and then they each brought 3 people with them, and then the people after show up early with 3 people and then look at me and ask me if it's ok. I instantly have 14 people in the store besides staff, and a cluster of people that are in peoples space and I have to take the time away from my immediate bride to ask people to sit over there, move over there, please go wash your hands, and use the sanitizing station.....😔
I want to be open, I want people to be safe. I see ALOT of nurses. Please respect this. I want us to get back to what our normal is of a whole bunch of super happy, non masked people in my store all talking about their day. We are not there yet. We are doing our best to be safe. Washing hands, sanitizing, but I need your help. Please don't ask me to be the "amount of people in the store administrator" every hour. Let me do what I do best, and that is getting you ready for your big day by making your gown fit you perfectly. I hope we can get back to normal soon. I hope everyone stays healthy. Ladies, just wanted to touch base with you all. We are currently taking clients. It is spaced so we are not over booking. I am the only pinner at this moment, and I want everyone to get in, but also socially distancing. I am taking every precaution by washing hands, and hand sanitizing between clients, and wearing masks. I am asking you to please do not bring additional people to your appointment. We will take first appointments, for those later dates, so we can start working on your dresses, as the calendar will get tight when everyone is able to get out and about. So! Well ladies, the Governor said yesterday they are extending the Stay-at-home until May 4th. My plan was to open on April 13th. I need all ladies who are scheduled during that time to please call my office. 763-432-5243. I am sewing, and trying to get the dresses done and moving forward. So, please contact us. We will get you your dresses if you need them before. I am going to triage the situation, and if your date has changed, please tell us. If it hasn't then tell us. I have people answering my phone messages from home, so if you get a message that isn't my number, please answer it. you can also email us at: [email protected]. We will figure this out, and I am putting all protocols into place if you need to get in and get your dress. I am the only one here, so it's social distancing at it's finest. So! The update is, please call or email, and we will either still get you in, or get you rescheduled. Please understand if you are coming in, you need to come alone. Waiting will be outside in vehicles. not my favorite, but we will get through this. (Seriously I need some sparkle in my life!! )

Well ladies and gentlemen, the order came through. As of Friday we are going to be closed for appts until April 10th at this moment. As I have told all of you, I have access to the store. I will not allow anyone to NOT have their dress for their event. We are doing what we can to help our community by not coming in, and we are ahead with our alterations, in preparation for this happening. We will get you in. I promise you this. I am going to have a FB live question and answer video on Monday, stay tuned for the time, where you can ask questions. At this time, if you are scheduled for an appt. during the time we need to close, you will be hearing from us to reschedule, or figure out a way to pick up.
We are in this together, and we are here to help. I again, repeat, I will not leave any of you hanging, we will figure it out. Ok? (repeat that last sentence!).

Ladies please reach out to your vendors. We are here to help you. We will listen, talk you through. We can reschedule, we will do everything in our power to make sure that you have your dress ready for your big day! We are taking every precaution for both our clients and our staff. Dear Clients, Partners, & Families.
Your health and safety are always of highest priority for Amazing Alterations as well as looking fantastic! With the current concerns related to the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to take this opportunity to let you know that we are committed to doing our part to keep all of you healthy.
We continue to monitor the news updates and recommendations provided by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, and keep a close eye on information published by MN health and government officials.
As a standard operating practice, ALL of our staff continue to hand wash when in contact with you, our clients or loved ones. We also are avoiding seeing clients should we be ill. We are requiring all staff to continue to cover a sneeze or cough. We are sanitizing the entire area we have contacted and equipment that is being utilized. We are also closely monitoring the symptoms of ALL of the clients that we are seeing, and notifying their healthcare providers/families should we have any concerns.
Our pinners, need to be in contact with you and we will be sanitizing and if it comes to it wearing masks to do your fittings. Your and our safety is our number one concern.
We encourage you to also take appropriate precautions. If you or anyone in your family is not feeling well or have been at risk of exposure, please contact us, and we will do what we can to reschedule you. We remain committed to helping you prioritize your health and wellbeing no matter the circumstances. And will do what we can to get you ready for your event!

Here are some helpful tips to help you stay healthy and boost your immune system!
• Maintain proper nutrition, especially before and after being active. Vitamin C is especially important, as it is a powerful antioxidant that helps boost your immune system.
• Stay hydrated, especially as you maintain your exercise routine. Staying hydrated can improve your metabolism, digestion, and can help you feel energized.
• Get enough sleep to restore your body. A good night’s rest can impact your recovery, performance and mental clarity. Consider tips such as lowering the room temperature, avoiding technology, increasing your magnesium intake, and developing a sleep routine to name a few.
• Practice a regular wellness routine. Get natural sunlight, drink water as soon as you wake up, and spend time meditating to help lower your stress, keep you energized and flush toxins from your system.
