Pick up a pack of frozen Chicken Backs for your future Broth Making self!
A chicken back is the backbone and frame of the chicken after the breast and leg cuts have been removed. While it doesn't contain much meat, it's packed with bones, connective tissue, collagen, and rich chicken flavor, making it one of the best cuts for homemade broth and stock. Simmer low and slow to create a nutrient-rich foundation for soups, stews, gravies, and sauces.
$10 gets you a package of *6* Chicken Backs for your freezer. Throw in 1-2 Chicken Backs in a stockpot, along with veggies like garlic, onion, carrot and celery, splash of ACV, good quality salt & herbs and simmer on low for several hours. Strain. Have nutrient rich broth available to use in so many ways! This is a staple at our house. Don't miss this opportunity to stock up!

**FARM UPDATE**
The change from spring to summer brings about a much needed slow down season for the cows and the milkmaid.
Witht late summer calves expected, we milked out Pearl & Charlotte for the last time yesterday before the arrival of calf. The sole gal in milk, Magnolia, will start her dry off in August to prepare her for an October calf.
What this means is that milk will be limited. I notified our monthly milk subscribers earlier this week of the pause. Any extra milk will be restocked at MC Farmstore Markn Kay Coger when available.
Typically, this is a good time to slow down as it factors in vacations and away time for customers. Generally, the demand is less consistent in summer months.
Now to recharge for when milk flow starts back this summer โ๏ธ Thank you for your support this milking season ๐ฅ ๐
Stay tuned ๐
