P1 Sim Racing - Annapolis

Say hello to our P1 Sim Racing - Petit Le Mans teams. We have Steven Wallace and Colin Gontkof (two left) running the LMP2 car. Jonathan, Max and Jeremy (three right) are running the GT3 class. These guys have all spent hours practicing for this event and really stepped up to the challenge. There were 23 splits for the iRacing PLM 8am start with over 1300 teams racing, a massive event!

Steven and Colin qualified P2 in their class and after 10 hours of battles, consistency and determination, these guys put their car on the top step of the podium to finish P1 in class and P5 overall. That’s an incredible accomplishment for their first ever endurance race together. There were 60 cars in this multi-class event and the duo of Colin+Steven was so much fun to watch.

Our GT3 team of Max, Jeremy and Jonathan pulled together a solid effort. They qualified P13 in class and fought hard to compete in their field. One led to another and unfortunately after 9hrs and 45 minutes of racing, their team was dq’d after an aggressive GTP car took them out at the chicane. A great effort and many lessons learned. These guys will be back for more.

With a 1:41.251, the 1st place winner of 10 race credits is Steven Wallace, to the surprise of few! Cooper Van Horne came in 2nd 8 tenths back and earns 5 credits, while Sebastian Rist brings it home in 3rd, earning 3 race credits.
