This week Cl and I had the task of replacing this cross beam.
It went well and the new one went right into place, thanks to careful measurements. the corrosion on the old cross bean could have been catastrophic but now the boat is safe and bound for distant seas.

This was a busy summer for me working w CL Rigging. Looking forward to a busy winter and the chance to get back to Turks and Caicos where we spent a weekend advising the locals on winch service and sail repairs.

Sea Wind 1370, I helped built this rig and assisted CL Rigging to step it at Jabins. Yesterday at Liberty Marina, we did some final tuning before a sea trial.

It was hot this week but not hot enough to keep me from what I love to do! We did start early and finished by 12pm.

Rigging, rigging, rigging...all day, all day. I used to do a bunch of diff boat work, name it , yeah, done that, but since I've been focusing on rigging in Annapolis with Cl Rigging it's been the best decision of my life. I wake up every day stoked.

I'm keeping busy and as of 10/22, have been hired at Chesapeake Boat Club - JWorld. We have a great team there and everyone is eager to keep the ball rolling.
I finished 2022 on a steady pace and 2023 is off on a sprint, "wether" or not, I'm outside working on 28 boats or inside putting every effort forward refurbishing the CBC room. It turned out great and our first guest speaker was legendary Gary Jobson!
I was in awe to hear him speak of his past and the 2024 Americas Cup and the foil mono hulls! I can't wait!
Lastly, thanks to Cory at Muller Marine who help us with stepping the J80 masts, it's great to have him next door, where we can walk the masts back and forth and please, donate blood.❣️
Peace LOVE

I have officially relocated to Annapolis MD and did a rigging inspection on a Person 36.2, at Casa Mario Marina; were I found the foil was made too long on this furler and was hindering it's function. I took a fine tool and carefully cut back a few inches to clear the upper toggle. He will be getting a new furler but this will work, until then.
Also, I noticed that the ground wire connects to the mast on the deck/steam light; it will need to fixed so that the ground is connected to a proper terminal in the boat.
