In Loving Memory of David Matthies (1948–2026)

We are deeply saddened by the passing of David Matthies, former owner and longtime President of Southern Lock.

David dedicated more than 59 years to the company, leading it for over four decades and helping shape the security hardware industry. He will be remembered for his leadership, kindness, and the lasting relationships he built throughout his life.

Our thoughts are with his wife, Joann, his daughters, grandchildren, and all who knew him.

A service will be held on March 28 at 11:00 AM in St. Petersburg, FL.
