This month, we’re screening “How to Build a Time Machine” directed by Jay Cheel

The film follows two men chasing the idea of time travel in very different ways:

Theoretical physicist —Dr. Ronald Mallett — who has dedicated his career to exploring the possibility of time travel, and film animator Rob Niosi — who is building a full-size replica of the machine prop from the 1960 film adaptation of H.G. Wells’ “The Time Machine”

It is a documentary about time travel, yes.

But it is also about memory, grief, imagination, devotion, and the people who shape the worlds we spend our lives trying to reach.

We’ll also screen at least one surprise short film before the feature.

Once in a blue moon, the wild things come out.

Join us May 30 · 5–8 PM for a new exhibition timed to one of the rarest nights of the year—the Blue Moon.

This show brings together three artists working in the language of darkness, nature, and the untamed:

— nocturnal and animal-inspired mixed media
— black and white feather photography
— mixed media works

Meet the artists, hear the stories behind the work, and maybe take something home. All works are available for purchase.

For this edition, we’re creating space specifically for women artists to connect, share work, and discuss the realities of building a creative practice.

Bring a piece of your work and join the conversation around topics like pricing artwork, refining your style, framing and presentation, creating prints, and finding the best ways to get your work seen.

The Artist Development Lab is meant to be an open forum for learning, resource sharing, and networking with fellow creatives.
