Get inky with block printing at the "Art Bar" on June 25th. As part of the Ann Arbor Gallery Nights in Kerrytown, Found is featuring a different category of art making supplies each month.

On Thursday, June 25th from 5-8pm there will be printmaking goodies to sample. During the evening, we invite you to test out basic supplies that we have in the store: explore how different gouges carve into mounted blocks and other materials. Pick up a few tricks of the trade, play with the all-inclusive Joyn Bloc Parti Kit, and leave with a tiny block print.

Disclaimer: this is not a workshop or class, rather a little opportunity to experiment with some tools and paper. When people see linoblock prints, they often exclaim: "Oh, I did this in school!" Linocuts are the friendliest kind of printmaking - they can be done anywhere, with just a few tools. Stop by during Gallery Night to get a taste!

Plan to visit all 7 stops (listed below) on the gallery walk. Participating galleries will host a rotating roster of artist talks, demonstrations, artist pop-ups and special appearances, welcoming the public to celebrate Ann Arbor's vibrant art scene!

Longer days, warmer weather, and a calendar full of reasons to get out and enjoy Ann Arbor, it’s one of our favorite times of year.
