As we honor Juneteenth, we not only reflect on a pivotal moment in American history, but also celebrate Black culture, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equity and justice.
At AFSP, we recognize that mental health is deeply connected to the lived experiences of identity, community, and history. The legacy of systemic injustice continues to impact the mental health and well-being of Black communities today. It’s why our commitment to equity in mental health advocacy, resources, and care must be unwavering.

A lot of men on job sites are good at saying, “I’m fine,” even when the data shows that many aren't.
This , check in on someone who always says they’re good. You don’t need a perfect speech. You can start here: "I care about you, and I've noticed you haven't been yourself lately. You seem frustrated, and I'm wondering how you're doing."
Hard Hat Courage has tools to help construction workers, crews, and families start conversations that matter. Visit HardHatCourage to learn more.

June is and starting today, it is ! 🗓️ This is the perfect time to take a step back and reflect on how we can better support mental health and su***de prevention among men.
Reach out to the men in your life and check in on them. Reassure them that it’s okay to have a hard time, that they're never alone, and that help is always available. Let’s look out for each other through both the good times and the hard times. 💙

In 2024, su***de-related deaths were four times higher among males than females.
This let’s remember that seeking help is a sign of STRENGTH. By supporting one another, fighting su***de, and challenging stigma, we can build a future where no one suffers alone.
Check in on the men in your life and remind them that they are not alone. 💙
