Scott Beal’s new Dzanc Books poetry collection, “Stegosaurus Moon,” moves through the aftermath of divorce. We spoke to the Ypsilanti author and director of the Lloyd Scholars for Writing and the Arts program at the University of Michigan about his new book ahead of the launch event at Literati Bookstore on Tuesday, June 16.

Beal was also interviewed on WCBN's "Living Writers" program, so we linked to the audio in our article. He's also a musician and will perform at YpsiAlehouse on July 29.

Ann Arbor Civic Theatre celebrates America’s 250th anniversary with the musical "1776." We spoke to director David Kiley and four of the actors about the play, which deals with the dramatic events in deciding whether to stay with Great Britain or choose independence. "1776" runs June 11-14 at the Arthur Miller Theatre.
