This is one of the defects that I find oftenโ€ฆit goes in my report every single time. This specific one is different though. THIS one is from a friends house and I know somebody will recognize it. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

If you needed a reason to get a sewer scope on your inspection, this is definitely your sign. ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿค”

Nice try, Mr Homeowner, but I already took a shower today.

Sometimes I think people forget how stuff works...

I know itโ€™s a surprise with all of the quality caulking applied here but it was STILL leaking.

**When Your Clientโ€™s Fridge Organization Raises More Questions Than Answers** ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ”

During this home inspection, we discovered a unique storage solution: a Victoriaโ€™s Secret shopping bagโ€ฆ living rent-free in the refrigerator. Right between the parmesan and the whole milk.

Weโ€™ve seen a lot in our years of inspecting homes, but this oneโ€™s going in the highlight reel.

Pro tip: Your fridge is for food storage, not fashion storage! (Though we admire the creativity.)

This deck is so overbuilt it could survive a family reunion AND a hot tub. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜‚

Joist hangers everywhere, beefy lumber, and connections that mean business.
Whoever built this said: โ€œOnce is enough, but twice is better.โ€

๐Ÿ“‹ Overbuilt? Yes.
๐Ÿ“‹ Unsafe? Not even close.
๐Ÿ“‹ Inspector-approved peace of mind? Absolutely.

๐Ÿ  HOME INSPECTION TRIVIA FRIDAY! ๐Ÿ”
QUESTION: How often should you replace the batteries in your smoke detectors?
A) Once a year ๐Ÿ“…
B) Every 6 months โฐ
C) When they start beeping at 2 AM ๐Ÿ˜ด
D) Wait, I'm supposed to replace those? ๐Ÿค”
ANSWER: A) Once a year! ๐Ÿ”‹
Pro tip: Change them when you change your clocks for daylight saving time - easy to remember, January 1st to start the year off on the right foot, or on a random Tuesday night of your choosing.

And here's another tidbit: smoke detectors themselves should be replaced every 10 years, even if they seem fine. Studies show that smoke alarm's reliability drastically declines after 10 years. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

When's the last time YOU changed yours? Be honest! ๐Ÿ‘‡
