CLASS TIME is Monday through Thursday, 8:30 to 11:00. Drop off is from 8:15 to 8:30. MSDSC school schedule is followed for breaks and Holidays

Another school year, different children and most may not have their pictures posted. I will share photos of activities without faces and pictures of things they have created this Fall.

Last week we talked about art and the children drew their interpretation of a vase of daffodils. I noticed that some like to cut paper and wrap things up so I put out items such as boxes, paper, ribbon, yarn, glue, and tape. We called it a maker's space and a lot of time was spent creating there.

Today they made blood mixing red water color with shaving foam. They used pipettes to fill gloves and small containers then scooped, smeared, and painted small bones, skeletons, and skulls with the mixture. It was a successful MAD SCIENTIST experiment!

We have raised Painted Lady butterflies from caterpillars. Today we released them. Most of the children were able to hold or touch them. Two of the girls did not want to so they stood by the door and did the chicken dance.😂 I really appreciate their honesty. The girls did their last outside "footbath." I put blue soap paint on them. It was a fun last school day!

Here are pictures of our two week+ study of spirals and the Fibonacci sequence. They looked at them, painted them, brought spirals for show and tell, and worked together to make a large spiral with several smaller ones on the floor. One boy learned the first five numbers in the Fibonacci spiral-1-1-2-3-5.
