On the morning of Dec. 13, 2014, Donna, her youngest daughter Megan, and several others were jogging on the side of road in Angleton, Tx. A driver coming from behind, veered off the road and struck both Megan and Donna. Megan suffered minor but painful injuries and Donna was killed on impact. ANNOUNCEMENT....
The 4th annual DKT memorial run is in the works! With a small date change...
A little backstory on why we have always held this event in December,
12/13/14 following the loss of our sweet angel, members of our community came together and hosted an event at the fairgrounds where people ran, walked and prayed together in honor of our mom.
December 2015/ The following year as December approached our aunt Sherry came up with the idea of our family coming together to plan another event. To honor her sister, help everyone get through this sad anniversary date and give back to the community. Here, the 1st annual DKT run was born.
We have since kept planning our event around this date, but with crazy weather and many schedule conflicts around the holidays we have decided to head into our 4th annual event next October, keeping a significant date by planning it closest to DKT’s birthday.
