Meet Autumn 🍂

We would like to highlight one of our fantastic dogs here at our shelter! Meet Autumn, she is a shepherd mix and approximately 2 years old and fully vetted! She weighs 56.4 pounds but she promises not to take up too much room. She gets along great with every dog she meets! Big or small! Male or female it’s doesn’t matter for this girl as long as she has a friend to play with! We have also tested Autumn around cats and she seems to do just fine around them. Autumn loves to be outside and play in the kitty pool with her friends! She is leash trained and knows basic commands. Autumn has been with us at the shelter since November 5, 2025! She’s been patiently waiting for 7 months the right family to come along ❤️

🐾💙 We Need Your Help, Animal Lovers! 💙🐾

Our shelter has been experiencing an overwhelming number of animals coming through our doors lately, and while we’re grateful to be able to provide them with a safe place to stay, our supplies are disappearing faster than ever!

Every day, we are using large amounts of cleaning supplies, dog food, cat food, kitten food, and other essentials to care for the animals that depend on us. With intake numbers continuing to rise, our donation shelves are quickly being emptied.

If you’ve been looking for a way to help, now is the perfect time! Even a small donation can make a huge difference for the dogs and cats in our care.

This sweet guy was picked up and brought to the shelter today. He was found running the area of 1300 Buchta road here in Angleton. If you recognize him or know where he may belong please contact us at 979-848-5696 or come to the shelter located at 535 S. Anderson Street.

🚨 INTAKE SHUT DOWN 🚨

Angleton Animal Services has officially reached and exceeded our maximum capacity for both dogs and cats.

At this time, we are housing 47 cats and kittens in a facility designed to hold 34, and 27 dogs in a shelter that can only accommodate 20. Every kennel, cat enclosure, and available space is currently occupied.

Due to these extreme overcrowding conditions, all dog and cat intake is temporarily suspended until space becomes available. We understand this may be frustrating, but we simply do not have the physical space or resources to safely house additional animals at this time.

Please note that Animal Services will continue to respond to situations involving animals that pose an immediate threat to public safety or are experiencing emergencies requiring intervention.

This male German Shepherd was found on E. Henderson Rd. and is currently safe at Angleton Animal Services.

We are urgently trying to locate his owner. Unfortunately, he is showing some signs of aggression toward staff, which is making it difficult for us to safely house and care for him. In addition, our shelter is completely out of kennel space and currently has no available room left.

🚨Unfortunately, at this time, we have absolutely no open kennel space. We currently have eight dogs in pop up crates🚨

Do you recognize me?

This senior girl was picked up by the adult probation building located at 1524 East Mulberry Street here in Angleton. This baby appears to be possibly blind and deaf. We sure somebody is missing her! The New World Screwworm has been reported in Texas. Please review the following information and remain vigilant. Ensure your pets' flea and tick prevention is up-to-date, as this will also kill the larvae. Travel to Mexico with dogs is currently permitted; however, we advise leaving pets at home due to potential changes in restrictions. If you have any questions, notice open wounds, or suspect your pet is at risk, please contact us. Although we have not observed any cases in our area, reports have been confirmed in Texas.

Please keep a look out for this little girl! She escaped from her foster this morning on North Rimington Drive this morning approximately 45 minutes ago. If you see her please give us call. She is a little skiddish towards people. 979-848-5696
