What do yall think? Should I stain the bottom/red stripe of the Texas flag black or leave it?

Vintage wardrobe for sale that has been refinished into a colorful fun piece that will fit in any home. This gorgeous piece is at least 75 years old. It measures 58"x37"x19.5". It also has Cedar paneling inside the long compartment.
