The photograph of my LIFETIME! After 14 years of searching, I've photographed a Painted Bunting in Dallas, TX!!! Below, is details about this amazing vibrant North America bird! 😁 Feel free to share this image on your Facebook for others to see!
The Painted Bunting (Passerina ciris) is a small, sparrow-sized songbird known for its incredibly vibrant colors, especially in males, who display a blue head, red underparts, and green back, while females are a more camouflaged bright green. They are migratory, with eastern and western populations breeding in the southeastern and south-central U.S. and wintering in Mexico and Central America. These secretive birds prefer dense brush and woodland edges, feeding on seeds and insects, and are sometimes illegally trapped for the pet trade.

I've finally succeeded in taking a pristine photo of a hooded warbler, a species that's notoriously hard to capture on camera due to its love of the treetop canopy. It took nearly two hours of chasing, but the end result was well worth it.
